Jill Colonna
Scottish-born and Paris-based for over 30 years, Jill Colonna is the founder of Mad About Macarons, a French food website known for lighter recipes and insider food guides.
Cooking daily with her French family, she shares simple dishes, market finds, and favourite spots, showing how French home cooking can be approachable, lower in sugar, and full of flavour.
Today, she teaches home cooks through her online courses and her e-book Master Crème Caramel, focused on building confidence with classic French desserts.
She is the author of Mad About Macarons – the first macaron cookbook published in the UK – and Teatime in Paris, and has judged French pastry competitions alongside chefs such as Christophe Felder and Mercotte – experiences she describes as both fun and humbling.
On Joie de Vivre TV, Jill takes viewers along Paris’s Rue du Bac, sharing favourite spots, insider tips, and the stories behind them.
